The IFAK (Individual First Aid Kit) course teaches students about the recognition and treatment of life-threatening injuries using an interactive classroom environment in combination with hands-on skills to train students how to appropriately medically treat casualties. Students will become familiar with the application of tourniquets, chest seals, hemostatic agents, and pressure dressings. This course has been developed and is taught by a former US Army Medical Sergeant and current Paramedic working the 911 system in Yolo County, CA. All training is based on current techniques approved by the Committee for Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC).
